Civil Defence Centre at Three Kings closed 6pm Saturday 19 April

All those who were unable to return home today have been moved into emergency accommodation. We continue to monitor the weather closely. We are equipped to re-open centres overnight or tomorrow if needed.

A bilingual children’s book based on Kahungunu legends, telling the story of what to do in an earthquake followed by tsunami threat. It was developed by representatives from Hawke's Bay Civil Defence Emergency Management Group.
